The goal of Elijah Academy to see the relationships of parents and children strengthened through the process of home education.  As expressed in Malachi 4:5-6, "Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet.  And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers."  We support parents and children alike by:

  • Offering spiritual encouragement at local monthly meetings,
  • Engaging fathers in the homeschooling effort,
  • Providing systems for planning, assessing, and reporting on the progress of home education,
  • Helping one another in the tasks and hardships of homeschooling family life,
  • Articulating a vision for academic excellence,
  • Fostering fellowship among homeschooling families,
  • Motivating with mutual accountability,
  • Promoting supplemental activities for students,
  • Coordinating a pool of volunteer resources and services,

  • Facilitating entrance into higher education and the work place, and

  • Encouraging students and parents to live for the glory of God.

The pursuit of academic excellence and godly character are the dual purposes of Christian education.  As expressed in Colossians 3:23-24, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ." and Mark 8:36, "For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul?"
